MAZURA

Mazura was my inaugural multi-sensory collaboration with Masumi Patzel, where art, fashion, film, and culinary experiences converged. Inspired by my grandfather, Jean Varda, we developed a fashion line rooted in his artwork, aiming to explore the dialogue between art and fashion. The show featured a curated selection of fifteen of his paintings, accompanied by a piece by Agnes Varda about him—Uncle Yanco —creating a layered narrative that invited guests to engage with visual art and cinema simultaneously.

This event was not only about showcasing work but creating an immersive environment. We transformed a Volkswagen garage into a unique gallery space, blending unlikely settings to challenge perceptions. Collaborating with Chef Efrain Cuevas of Ghetto Gourmet, we offered a four-course exquisite menu that heightened the sensory experience. The culmination was a fashion show, followed by a dance party with DJs and a sale of the fashion line.
