Under the label Vagadu, I embarked on a unique fashion collaboration that integrates the world of fine art with couture design. This innovative concept involves creating fashion collections inspired by the work of distinguished fine artists. Among the three distinctive collections produced, one featured a collaboration with San Francisco-based artist Kara Maria, titled "Deployment in Wonderland." Drawing inspiration from her 2007 painting series, this collection showcased one-of-a-kind pieces, each intricately crafted to reflect the essence of her artwork. The collection was unveiled through an immersive art show, where dancers replaced traditional models, accompanied by original choreography, creating a truly extraordinary experience.
